Fresco has been designed by Textile Designers Blackpop. In collaboration with The Sir John Soane’s Museum, Blackpop's Designer Maxine Hall has layered and adapted archival imagery from the Museum, creating a faded collage look, consisting of deep reds and contrasting blues. Original and unique, this rug has a gothic look and feel that combines classic historic imagery with contemporary techniques such as oxidisation, which effects the wool beneath the overriding layer of silk, creating an extraordinary 3D effect with a unique look and antique appearance.
