Seljuk No.02 is a contemporary interpretation of a traditional 13th Century Konya carpet. The faded geometric design and soft dusty blue tones form its delicate look. As made within original Seljuk carpets, this 45/55 Persian-knotted rug is produced in Afghanistan, using 100% Wool and has been antique washed.

 

Carpet weaving is at the heart of Afghanistan’s heritage and here at Knots Rugs we are working with local weavers in collaboration with Turquoise Mountain, which was founded in 2006 by His Majesty King Charles III in order to protect and revive its historic craft and artisan traditions and skills which date back thousands of years.
