Seljuk No.01 is a contemporary interpretation of a traditional 13th Century Konya carpet. Its bold geometric design is made up of earthy tones of yellow, blues and greens, forming the core colour palette, whilst the vibrant blue and deep dusty coral border brings the rug to life. As made within original Seljuk carpets, this 30/40 Persian-knotted rug is produced in Afghanistan, using 100% Wool.
Carpet weaving is at the heart of Afghanistan’s heritage and here at Knots Rugs we are working with local weavers in collaboration with Turquoise Mountain, which was founded in 2006 by HRH the Prince of Wales in order to protect and revive its historic craft and artisan traditions and skills which date back thousands of years.
