TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE CONTRACT
These Terms and Conditions of Trading (‘Agreement’) apply to all consumer contracts between Knots and our subcontractors (‘us/we/our’) and the Customer (‘you/your’) in relation to all sales of goods and services.
PLACING AN ORDER
By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. A contract between you and Knots for the sale of our products will only exist once an order has been accepted and processed. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Prices and availability of goods are subject to change without notice. A delivery charge will be added to your order value where appropriate. Please see our delivery times and charges.
All dates quoted for delivery are estimated delivery dates only and may be subject to change. We can accept no liability for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) if delivery takes place at any time other than the estimated date for delivery.
INVOICES AND ORDER CONFIRMATION
You will receive an Invoice or / and Order Confirmation by email as soon as you have placed an order depending on whether the item bought is a stock piece or custom order. Please keep it in a safe place as we may ask you for information from it in any correspondence. If you do not receive this email please contact firstname.lastname@example.org , so that we can resend and confirm that your order has been placed successfully.
We except Mastercard, Visa, Visa Debit, Maestro and bank transfers. We don’t except Amex.
All our goods remain the property of Knots Rugs until payment in full has been made.
All bank charges are the responsibility of the payer.
We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct. However, specifications and descriptions of products on this website are not intended to be binding and are intended only to give a general description of the products. Furthermore, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used to view the products.
PRODUCT SIZE AND COLOUR
All of our products are handmade, and rugs can vary in size by up to 10cm in width or length from the size shown. Likewise, although ARS colours are used for accuracy, colours can vary slightly from rug to rug due to different dye batches. This is normal with all dyed textiles. Once an order is placed with us you confirm your understanding and acceptance of this. We hold a large number of stock pieces on display in our store in London and shown through this website most items in our current range. If in stock the item is available for immediate purchase, if not in stock the item can be ordered see ‘Bespoke and Out of Stock Terms’. Most of our rugs are available as custom or bespoke pieces as well as in our standard sizes and colours
BESPOKE AND OUT OF STOCK TERMS
Bespoke, custom and out of stock orders are non refundable or returnable unless there is a manufacturing fault with the rug. All bespoke, custom and out of stock orders require a 50% deposit and balance before Shipping.
Our production times are between 16 - 26 weeks. Rugs under 5m long can be produced in 12-14 weeks with a 15% surcharge for double weaving shifts. This may vary with the season and the schedule of our weaving team. DELIVERY TIMES AND CHARGES
We ship to all UK addresses free of charge; delivery times are normally between 1-2 days.
Deliveries outside of the UK will be charged. Charges are calculated on volumetric weight and times vary depending on customs clearance.
Delivery times will usually be within 2 - 7 days outside of the UK. We can give you a more accurate estimation when the delivery is booked in.
The standard rate of VAT will be charged on all Invoices unless a valid EU VAT number is supplied from all EEC countries buying our goods, if this is supplied the goods will be zero-rated.
All countries outside of the EEC will not be charged VAT on our invoices, you will be responsible for paying your own countries VAT and duty on import.
TITLE AND RISK
We retain ownership of any products ordered until we have received full payment for such products.
Our performance of any part of a contract with you is subject to variation or cancellation and the grant of an extension of time from any cause arising from an act of God, war, strikes, lock-outs, flood, drought or other cause of any nature whatsoever beyond our control or owing to inability and time to procure materials, labour or any articles at all and you agree to accept increased prices for the products due to any of the aforesaid reasons. In all circumstances time is not of the essence of the contract.
