Inspired by nature, ‘The Path Of Hollow Words’ by German Artist Stefan Heyer has been skilfully recreated by Knots Rugs and their Artisan weavers in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. Heyer specialises in gestural abstract paintings which are extremely layered as he drips paint and scrawls words with the use of mixed mediums including oil paints, acrylic paints, crayon, pencil, marker, and photo transfer. In this particular piece, Heyer has even included the use of dried plants and other foraging. Hand-knotted in a fusion of wool and silk, the lustrous accents encourage you to look closer and discover Heyer’s signature writing hidden within the design.

The Stefan Heyer collection consists of 4 rugs in total, with bespoke sizes and colourways also available upon request. Production time 20 - 24 weeks.
