The latest addition to the highly successful Artist Collaboration Collection with German Artist Stefan Heyer, ‘The Raw Earth’ has been skilfully hand-knotted in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal using the world’s oldest traditional skills in the finest Tibetan wool and Chinese silk. Heyer specialises in layered, gestural abstract paintings as he drips the paint and scrawls words with the use of mixed mediums including oil paints, acrylic paints, crayon, pencil, marker and photo transfer. In this particular piece, Heyer has used oil, pastels and pencil on canvas in natural, earth tones.
The Stefan Heyer collection consists of 4 rugs in total, with bespoke sizes and colourways also available upon request. Production time 20 - 24 weeks.
