At the End Of The Day is an interpretation of a painting by the renowned English Artist George Morton-Clark. His works are predominantly large and bold canvases of oil and acrylic within a contemporary abstract form with influences from his travels to films, music and even lucid dreams. “I want my art to excite people. I know I have created a decent painting when I look at it and feel my pupils dilate. I want the same to happen to the viewer and for them to experience something similar to what I did while painting it”. This stunning piece conveys the meticulous brush strokes and energy of the original artwork, with over a month spent dying the wools, and total of 65 colours used, the attention to detail is astounding.

Artist Collaboration
George Morton-Clark
George Morton-Clark is a British artist who utilizes oil, acrylic, and charcoal on un-primed canvas to bring familiar cartoon characters to life. With a combination of bold images and strong colours, his line drawings are immersed in an abstract atmosphere of energy and liveliness. Knots Rugs embarked on the collaboration with George for the first edition of ‘Your Floor Is The Canvas’ collection, admiring the fearlessness of his approach-the bold street art aesthetic provided a unique opportunity for merging contemporary artistic ideas with traditional weaving methods.
