Sumac Kilim | Natural Black

Our Sumac Kilim is a handwoven rug made in Nepal using 100% natural Yak wool. The yarn is produced from the coat hair of yak’s, a longhaired bovine mainly found in the Himalayas region. Yak wool has been used by nomads for over a thousand years to make clothing, tents, ropes and blankets. It has a natural warmth and softness, is odour resistant and has soundproofing and anti-microbial properties. This rug has been finished with a deep rusty red border and hand-plaited fringe. This Kilim can also be made to bespoke sizes and colourways upon request. Production time 8 - 12 weeks.

We hope you are very happy with your rug, but if for any reason you're not and wish to discuss an issue or simply return it, please contact us within 14 days of receipt.

1. Made to Order and Custom Rugs require a 50% deposit and 50% balance payment prior to shipping.
   
2. All in-stock items require 100% payment on receipt of invoice. 
3. We accept all major payment cards, plus trade customers can pay by bank transfer.
4. Please note our rugs are hand-made, tolerance 5-10% either way in colour and size can occur due to the production process. 
5. Production time varies according to the production method.
6. Orders are non-refundable or returnable unless there is a manufacturing fault with the rug. 
7. Custom orders incur a shipping fee to be calculated on weight and size prior to shipping.
8. All bank charges are the responsibility of the payer.
